Some times we might ask you to tell us what operating system and version you're using. If you're not familiar with this then the steps are quite simple:
Windows:
- Right-click on the My Computer/Computer icon on your desktop (if it does not appear on the desktop go to the Start menu and right click on My Computer/Computer from there)
- Select Properties
- In the System window the operating system information will be displayed, this also shows what Service Pack you have
Mac:

Click the on the Apple icon in the top left hand corner of the desktop

Select About This Mac from the menu which appears

You should find the operating system information there
Other:
If you're using anything other than Window or Mac we strongly suspect you know far too much about computers for your own good so telling us what operating system and version is something you can do in your sleep!.If you're still stuck tell us what you think you're using and we'll see if we can advise you further.
